I planted the 10 trees I got, from donating to Arbor Day, in pots to start out, since the last trees that I put in the ground died. They've all done well in their pots, but now that cold weather is coming I'm wondering if I should bring them inside for the winter, or leave them outside and let them freeze. Any suggestions?
I would plant them in the ground. Trees need a natural resting cycle in order to survive. This resting cycle is brought on by cooler temps and shorter light cycles (days). If you bring them inside for the winter it is not likely that they will survive.
