View Full Version : Bush with purple berries

I saw this bush in front of Red Lobster yesterday., Without my glasses, and from a few feet away, I thought it was a butterfly bush in bloom, but as I got closer I saw it has these tiny little purple berries. It was a large bush, about 5 feet high and very well trimmed back, roundish in shape, no visible trunk (not tree like, bush like). Any idea? I want one for my backyard sooo badly!

My dad suggested it's this. Never heard of a beauty berry bush but it sure does look like it! Also called Callicarpa. Anybody know where I can purchase in New Jersey? Couldn't find it at Spring HIll Nurserys online. I'm still searching.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much! I wasn't going to order from them, I'm quite partial to a local nursery or Spring hill, but thank you so much for the warning. Gosh. What a shocker. Thankyou !!

Wow. I will say this... their website is certainly entertaining. Hilariously bad photots. Write-ups that make no sense.
