We just moved into a new home and we have this tree in our back yard.

We live in Kansas City, Kansas.

Gah

Alright trying to get them in post.

This tree was covered in blossoms just a week ago and has since vomited them all onto the ground.

Adding pics of branches

This tree needs some pruning and care, but I want to make certain it isn't a Bradford Pear before giving it encouragement.

The flower image is out of focus, and at a glance looked like white dogwood's color, but the 5 petals and leaf color and sheen lead me to think of flowering pear. The weak unions in the branch photos resemble the weak attachments often seen in those trees. Could even be a regular pear tree.

Yes, the flowers were out of focus. I had to reach my arm way up to take a picture, I couldn't see what I was doing and now all the flowers have fallen off. :(

Looking at the pear flowers here

They do look alike.

So if it is a pear tree will it continue to withstand wind at this size? This is Kansas and we do get high winds.
