I have an Austrian Pine and it has some sort of a blight. It has several brown bloches on it. At the suggestion of a friend, I tried removing the brown limbs and spraying it with an antifungal spray, but it keeps returning. Can I save the tree? Is there something I can do to get rid of the blight? Anything would be a help--thanks!

Austrian pines are very prone to a disease called Diplodia tip blight. Your tree will probably never be completely free of the pathogen, but you can do some management to minimize the problem. If you do use fungicide, the timing of the application in the spring is very important.

Here's a website with more info:

Can you suggest any fungicides that I can use to at least control the Diplodia?

I would suggest calling your local extension office to get advice about what is available (and legal) for treating Diplodia tip blight in your area.
